Chicago Steel meets the Chicago Force
The Force were invited by the Chicago Steel Hockey organization to participate in a marketing and promotional night April 5, as the Steel hosted, and beat the Green Bay Gamblers 3-2, at THE Edge Ice Arena in Bensenville IL. A group of Force players set up a table on the concourse of the arena, and greeted fans as they walked through the doors. Pocket schedules were handed out; autographs and pictures were taken with the enthusiastic fans that were interested in Women’s Tackle Football. Our own Tracy Johnson, who resides in Bensenville, performed the ceremonial drop of the puck before the game. Michelle Kania was selected to shoot several pucks through a small opening at one of the nets during the first intermission. She was the only one to score a goal. Nice going, Michelle. "It was great to help promote our team and participate in the shooting contest," explained Michelle. "We visited with over 200 fans; many of them said that they will come to one of our upcoming games. It was a lot of fun."
